The builder

Print-ready, without the design software.

Upload anything. The builder removes the background, cuts to the shape, sets the border, places the art and prices it as you go — in the browser, on your own device, with a free proof before you pay a cent.

Six tools

What it does.

The things that used to need a designer, a subscription or a favour — built into the page you order from.

Remove the background

Upload a photo, a screenshot, a logo on white. One button clears everything but the subject — on your device, free, nothing uploaded until you order.

Cut to the shape

Die-cut follows the edge of your artwork, holes and all. The preview shows the exact cut line before you commit.

Set the border

A slider from no border to a chunky white keyline. It smooths a fiddly outline and it looks better on most stickers.

Place it exactly

Drag the art, scroll to zoom, rotate to any angle. Fit, Fill, Centre and Reset snap it back. Or type the numbers.

Price it live

Every change reprices the job on the spot. The number you see is the number your card is charged — no setup fee, no surprise at checkout.

Proof by a person

Nothing prints until someone here has looked at it and you have approved a free digital proof. Revisions are on us.

Remove BG, up close

The homework, done for you.

A die-cut sticker follows the edge of the artwork, so the artwork used to have to arrive with the background already gone — a transparent PNG, which meant Photoshop, a Canva subscription, or a website that wanted your email. Now you upload the photo as it is and press Remove BG under the preview.

It runs on your device. A segmentation model in your browser decides what the subject is and clears the rest, then we clean the edge, drop stray specks and fill pinholes so the cutter gets one clean shape. Your photo isn't sent anywhere to do this, and it stays on your device until you place an order. The first use downloads the model to your browser, about the size of a short video, and keeps it.

It's free. No server does the work, so there's no per-image cost on either side. No watermark, no monthly limit, no account.

It knows a logo from a photo. A logo saved on white gets the exact treatment — only the white touching the outside goes, so a highlight inside your design stays. A photo gets the model. Nothing is removed until you press the button, pressing it again puts the original back, and if the exact version wasn't what you meant there's a link to try the model instead.

It's honest about the hard cases. Wispy hair against a busy background, glass, reflections, two things overlapping: sometimes it misses. Crop close and use the biggest image you have for the cleanest result. When it still misses, restore the original and send the file as it is — a person draws the cut line on the free proof. The full write-up is on Fresh Press.

Cut and border

The blade goes where the preview says.

Die-cut traces the outline of your art, and it handles the awkward parts: an enclosed hole stays a hole, a thin gap is bridged so the sticker doesn't fall apart, and the corners are rounded the way a real blade rounds them. Kiss-cut keeps a square backing to peel from. Circle, square, rectangle and rounded shapes crop your art to the shape instead.

The Border slider sets the white keyline around a die-cut, from none to chunky, and the preview redraws as you drag. The same border control shows up in the corflute builder for a custom shape cut, where the board is contour cut to your art at signage scale.

Placement and size

Put it exactly where you want it.

Drag the art around the sticker. Scroll or pinch to zoom. Rotate it to any angle. Fit, Fill, Centre and Reset snap it back, and every slider has a number field next to it if you'd rather type. Pick a size from the list or type any width and height — a contour cut keeps your artwork's proportions when you change one side, so it never squashes.

Preview it on a studio backdrop, on white or on black, in any of the eight finishes. What you see in the preview is what we proof.

Price and proof

No quote form. No setup fee. No surprise.

Every change — size, finish, cut, quantity, turnaround — reprices the job on the spot, and the price chip on the preview follows you down the page. That number is what your card is charged; the checkout re-prices from the same table, so there's nothing added at the last step. Quantity breaks are shown, not hidden.

Then a person looks at it. Every order gets a free digital proof before anything is printed, revisions included. How the whole thing works, step by step.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Yes. It runs in your browser on your own device, so there is no server doing the work and no per-image cost to pass on. No watermark, no image limit, no account.

No. The removal happens on your device. Nothing leaves it until you place an order, and then only the file you chose to send with it. The first use downloads the model to your browser, roughly the size of a short video, and keeps it.

A second or two on a desktop. On a phone it can take a while longer, since the phone is doing the same work with less to do it with — the button spins while it runs.

Press Restore BG and send the file as it is. A person checks every order before it prints and draws the cut line by hand on the free proof. Cropping close to the subject and using the biggest version of the image gets the cleanest result.

Yes. The same Remove BG button is in all three builders. On corflute it switches the board to a custom shape cut once the background is gone, so a photo becomes a shaped cutout in one step.

An open-source model from img.ly, @imgly/background-removal, released under the AGPL-3.0 licence. It runs entirely in your browser. The licence text ships with the site alongside the library.
