The deal, in plain words.
What you're agreeing to when you order, and what we're committing to in return. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Australian Consumer Law — it can't, and we wouldn't want it to.
Who these terms are with
These terms apply between you and Neotype Studio (registered business name NEOTYPE, ABN 61 877 375 386) ("we", "us"), a custom print studio operating from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, at www.neotype.au. Placing an order means you accept them.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law come first
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes those rights. Where anything below appears to conflict with them, the law wins.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
- The price shown in the builder is the price your card is charged. We re-price every order on our own server before creating the payment session, so a page that has been tampered with cannot buy anything cheaply — and equally, you are never charged more than what you were shown.
- There is no setup fee, artwork fee or minimum-order surcharge. The only things that change your total are the ones on screen: size, finish, cut, quantity, turnaround and postage.
- Payment is by card through Stripe, on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. Your full card details are never sent to or stored on our servers.
- Prices can change. The price that applies is the one displayed when you check out.
- All prices are in Australian dollars. The amount displayed at checkout is the total amount payable.
Minimum order
Stickers have a minimum of ten per design. Banners and corflute signs have no minimum. Quantities above 10,000 per design are quoted separately — use the quote page.
Proofs and approval — the important part
Every order receives a free digital proof, prepared by a person, usually within one business day. Nothing is printed until you approve it. Revisions are unlimited and free.
When you approve a proof, you are confirming that the artwork, spelling, colours, dimensions and cut line are what you want. We print exactly what you approved. If an error survives into an approved proof, a reprint is a new order — this is the standard of the print trade, and it is why we make revisions free and unlimited and do not hurry you.
Changes and cancellations
- Before you approve the proof — you may change or cancel the order in full. Email us and we'll adjust or refund it.
- After you approve the proof — the job goes into production and is cut to your artwork. It has no resale value to anyone else, so it can't be cancelled or refunded at that point. This does not affect your Australian Consumer Law rights if something is actually wrong with what we produce.
Our reprint commitment
If what arrives does not match the proof you approved, or is defective, we reprint it at no cost. Send a photo to orders@neotype.au. We don't require you to return the order first. The returns & refunds policy sets this out in full.
Your artwork
- You keep ownership of your artwork. We claim no rights in it.
- By uploading, you confirm you own the artwork or have permission to reproduce it, and you agree to cover us against any third-party claim that you didn't. We are not in a position to verify who owns a logo, and we rely on you here.
- You grant us the limited permission needed to actually do the job — store the file, prepare a proof, print and cut it.
- We may decline any order. In practice this means artwork that is unlawful, infringing, or that we're not willing to have come off our press. If we decline after payment, you get a full refund.
- We do not use your artwork to promote the studio without asking you first.
Turnaround and delivery
Production and delivery times are estimates made in good faith, not guarantees. Production begins at proof approval, not at checkout. Once a parcel is with Australia Post its timing is outside our control. The full detail is in the shipping policy.
Colour and material
Screens emit light and printers lay ink on vinyl, so printed colour will be close to but not identical to what you see on your monitor — bright blues and greens shift most. We flag on the proof anything we expect not to hold. Small variation between production runs is normal in printing and is not a defect.
Durability claims — waterproof, UV-resistant, rated five-plus years outdoors — assume correct application to a clean, dry, suitable surface. They are not a warranty against misuse, unsuitable surfaces or deliberate removal.
Liability
Subject to the Australian Consumer Law rights above, our liability for any order is limited to reprinting it or refunding what you paid for it, at our option. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — for example, a missed event, lost sales, or the cost of something you built around a delivery date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The last-updated date is at the top.
